Spreadsheet as constructive tool in teaching and Learning

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application that enables users to manipulate store and graph data. This application is very useful for the teacher like us specially when we would be at field. Its help us in saving time and is easy to interpret. If we happen to know the formulas it is very easy to find the answers like the average, sum and other operation. With the data we can also plot the graph and is easy to compare because we can compare even the single variables.

With the graph there are also many types of graph as per the need. There is pie- chart, bi-graph, line graph and many more options. We can also work in many sheet as possible. I found that this application would be very helpful for us specially when we would be preparing result sheet when we will have large number of student. Without having to calculate the percentage, the average, the pass percentage for each child manually we can directly find those if we have the formula and the data. Even we have many data it would be very easy to analyze those with the excel.
MY experience of working with the spread sheet.
Since we had learned using micro soft excel in our previous model in FIT we were assigned with the work. We were let to list the names of all the students and we were suppose to find out which region of our country ate more. We had to weigh ourselves and using the formula we had to find the answer and use the graphs to show the results. Though we had large number of people , working with the spread sheet made the work easier. All we need to know was the formula. we could compare easily with the graphs too.
