Google
Classroom is a free collaboration tool for teachers and students. Teachers can
create an online classroom, invite students to the class then create and
distribute assignments. Within the Google Classroom students and teachers can
have conversations about the assignments and teachers can track the student's progress.
In order to use this tool, schools must register for a free Google Apps for
Education account to use Classroom.
This
Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect—inside and
outside of schools. Here the teacher can give assignments, post announcements,
upload videos and learning materials. It also reminds students of their assignments. Teacher
can also ask questions and facilitate online discussions. Using
Google Classroom allows the students to have instant feedback and the teacher
can see areas that might need re-teaching or clarification. The teacher can also create as many classrooms
for the student and can either invite through mail or by giving them the
subject code. Not only creating the classroom the teacher or the student can
also join others classroom.
Though
I see immense benefit of using the Google classroom I doubt the feasibility in
the countries like ours as most of our schools are not equipped with computer
facilities and internet connection.
