negative impacts of internet

Description: Image result for lack of face to face talkLack of Face to Face Communication
When I look at the scenario of 21st century actually the internet and technology should bring people together but it is happening just other way round so it sounds quite ironic to mention that lack of face to face communication is one of the negative impacts of internet. We prefer chatting with people far away from us, we love video calling and share our people rather than sharing with people sitting next to us. We spent our entire day sitting in front of the computer but not saying to hi and hello to people sitting next to us.

Lack of Creativity

By introducing the internet in the human history, it became the unlimited sources of information. This feature benefits users by quick access to needed info at ease. However, when everything is available, there is no need for creativity. Students now don’t have to pay much effort on their assignment or project because they only need a few minutes to get all information they need from the Internet then copy paste into their work. This problem is a warning for the increase in plagiarism, leading to the lack of creativity.

Waste of Time
Actually, using internet is never a waste of time unless we don’t do productive or we use internet in a good purpose. However, this days there are good number of people who use internet just for granted and spend their half of day chatting, Face booking video calling etc. so this leads to waste of good time.

REFLECTION

Reflection
Had not been introduced to the module EDN 419 ICT in teaching and learning I would not be aware of importance of infusing ICT in teaching and learning and the benefits derived from it especially for the children who are born in this technological world.
What I thinks is that this module should be taught before the student teacher goes for the teaching practice so that they can experiment it as same as the teaching skills. On the other hand they can also teach the teachers on its importance because what I have seen during my teaching practice is that they still follow the traditional way of teaching and hardly have I seen them integrating ICT in the classroom.
There are many benefits derived from integration of ICT that I have learn
        improves student Improve existing conditions
Create important educational opportunities that did not exist without it.
Add value to the activities such that if one were to take away the technology,            the quality of the lesson should somehow be diminished.
        Solves instructional problems
        Enhance students learning
However looking at the current scene in our country I think the integration will be difficult in some school mainly because of these two reasons
1.                 Availability of technological resources. Many of the remote school in our country do not have adequate technological facilities like computer, projector, and access to internet with which it would be difficult to integrate ICT.
2.                 Lack of knowledge.
I think not knowing how to handle and operate the technologies especially the computer is one of the hindrance in integrating ICT. The teachers with whom I worked during my teaching practice had vivid knowledge in using the computers. Therefore there is a need in giving professional development workshops to the teachers on the importance of ICT and hoe to operate those.

Looking at the benefits I will ensure that I make the learning more meaningful by integrating ICT in future. I will let the student explore and let the leaning be more fun and interesting by integrating ICT in teaching and learning process. I will try to make the students more competent which is very important in this digital world.

Co- construction

Co-Construction

1.What is co-constructive tool?
Tool that supports the construction of knowledge through shared understanding. It’s a use of the Google docs and electronic whiteboard where students may post notices to a shared document or white board; they can also co-edit the same document from their homes.
Example; Google docs, electronic whiteboard, blogs and wikis, discussion forum on portals (pce.edu.bt)

2.Which learning theory does co-constructive tool emphasize on?
Co-constructive tool emphasis on Constructivism theory. Constructivism is a learning theory that attempts to explain how learners learn by constructing understanding for everyone. This section will explore the constructivist learning theory by defining constructivism, providing varying views of constructivism, and illustrating how constructivism relates to independent learning and higher education. The constructivist learning approach involves educators building school curriculum around the experience of their students. Constructivists believe learner-centric instructional classroom methods will strengthen the commitment and involvement of self-motivated learners because of their high level of interaction. Today, there is a trend for incorporating technology into the classrooms to support instructional learning methods. Constructivist theory's (J. Bruner) main theme is that learning is a process in which the learner is able to build on present and previous information. The student is able to take information, create ideas and make choices by utilizing a thought process.

3.How we can integrate co-constructive tool in our school?
We can integrate co-constructive tool by creating discussion forum so that the students can participate actively
